DOT saves taxpayers over $60M by terminating Texas high-speed rail contract

The U.S. Department of Transportation ends a $63.9 million grant for a high-speed rail project in Texas, saving taxpayers money. Amtrak and FRA agree that federalizing the project is not the best use of taxpayer funds. The saved funds will be used for other rail transportation projects.
