Dodgers' Freddie Freeman (left rib discomfort) scratched from Opening Day lineup

Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers was unable to play in the season opener due to left rib discomfort. The reigning World Series MVP had offseason surgery on his ankle and played through injuries during the postseason. The Dodgers are also missing Mookie Betts due to illness.
