A fire in East Vancouver was caused by a discarded cigarette, quickly spreading to multiple homes. Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services warned against improper disposal of smoking materials, urging the use of metal containers with water or sand. Four homes were damaged, with two possibly destroyed.
