Bank of Korea cuts interest rates by 25 basis points after holding for almost two years

South Korea's central bank reduced its benchmark interest rate to 3.25% in response to low inflation levels below the target of 2%. This cut follows a series of rate hikes since August 2021. Economists predict further rate reductions to reach 2.5%.
