I'm incredibly honored and proud to acquire one of the greatest works of art from legendary @XCOPYART and welcome "Last Selfie" into The Culture Vault. This is one of THE grails of digital art. I love the work of XCOPY and to me he is the most important NFT digital artist, along with @beeple. The reasoning is that culture holds immense value over time and NFT's allow for culture to be forever recorded on chain. XCOPY is the culture of crypto + the internet and will forever serve as a time capsule for this early cultural moment. Most of all, I love the art. XCOPY pioneered an entirely new form of art which resonates massively with me. Thanks @randomcdog for your help as ever. Thanks @CozomoMedici and @sergitosergito for your advice and thanks @artplusbrad who minted this originally and is now entrusting me with it! Onwards! Hide your jpegs... everyone is coming for them.

The comeback arc of art on blockchain is still something 99% of people don't understand and conflate NFT mania (same as memes are/were) in order to write it off. Meanwhile much incredible art is being created and prices for legacy grails are exploding which will help old and new artists and encourage new collectors. Expect @cryptopunksnfts and @XCOPYART and @beeple to lead and that's ok... it will pave the way for a generative art comeback too... Squiggles, Fidenza, Ringers, Autoglyphs with then also pave the way for all the incredible other artists too.
