Dec 2 (Reuters) - Britain's Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust said on Tuesday that the company's proposed merger with peer Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust  has been blocked by U.S. activist investor Saba Capital Management, its top shareholder.
