SafeRent Solutions settled a class action lawsuit in Massachusetts for $2.3 million. The AI tenant screening tool was accused of bias against Black, Hispanic tenants and those with housing vouchers. As part of the settlement, SafeRent will no longer use AI scores for voucher applicants.
