Over 2,200 residents in West Los Angeles lost power due to metallic balloons hitting power lines, causing outages in Sawtelle and Westwood neighborhoods. LADWP crews were working to restore power by 5:30 p.m. Metal balloons can cause short circuits and disrupt electrical flow.
