The Metropolitan Museum of Art has chosen Beijing-based artist Liu Wei to create sculptures for its Facade Commission, marking the first time in 20 years for an artist from mainland China. The project aims to introduce contemporary art to the museum, with Liu's artwork set to debut in 2026.
