Mastercard Names Accenture Veteran Jill Kramer as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE: MA) today announced the appointment of Jill Kramer as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), effective December 1, 2025. Kramer succeeds Raja Rajamannar, who has led Mastercard’s global marketing and communications for nearly 13 years and will transition to the role of Senior Fellow at the company.

Kramer joins Mastercard from Accenture (NYSE: ACN), where she most recently served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, overseeing global brand, advertising, and corporate reputation efforts. During her tenure, Accenture’s brand value grew from $12 billion to $20.9 billion, according to Interbrand’s Best Global Brands rankings. “We are excited to welcome Jill Kramer to Mastercard as our new Chief Marketing and Communications Officer,” said Michael Miebach, Chief Executive Officer of Mastercard. “Jill’s extensive experience in global B2B marketing and her proven ability to drive brand relevance and business impact will be invaluable as we continue to scale innovation and strengthen our leadership in the digital economy.”

Prior to Accenture, Kramer held senior leadership positions at global advertising agencies including BBDO and DDB, where she managed accounts for major clients such as AT&T and ExxonMobil. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ad Council and has been recognized on Forbes’ Most Influential CMOs list for three consecutive years. Kramer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Rajamannar, who joined Mastercard in 2013, is widely credited with redefining the company’s brand identity and advancing its long-running “Priceless” campaign into new experiential, sensory, and digital domains. Under his leadership, Mastercard launched initiatives such as the True Name card for transgender and nonbinary customers, introduced multi-sensory brand experiences including custom fragrances and soundscapes, and led creative partnerships tied to the Grammy Awards and Pride Month celebrations.

“Raja has been a transformative force for Mastercard and for the broader marketing community,” Miebach added. “His work built one of the world’s most recognizable and trusted brands, and we are grateful for his leadership and continued counsel.”

Mastercard remains one of the world’s largest payment networks with a market capitalization of approximately $512 billion and continues to invest in digital innovation, financial inclusion, and next-generation payment technologies amid intensifying competition from traditional and emerging payment providers.
