Discover Financial Services announced the sale of its private student loan portfolio for an estimated $10.8 billion. The portfolio, with a principal balance of $10.1 billion, will be sold to investment partnerships managed by Carlyle and KKR, with servicing responsibilities transferring to Firstmark Services.
