Baxter International Inc. and Carlyle have reached an agreement for Carlyle to acquire Baxter's Kidney Care segment for $3.8 billion. The deal is expected to close in late 2024 or early 2025. Baxter plans to use proceeds to reduce debt and focus on growth.
