Both Nageeye and Chepkirui secured their first NYC Marathon victories by pulling away from their competitors in the final stretch. Nageeye narrowly beat Chebet, while Chepkirui outpaced Obiri. The top Americans, Mantz and Vaughn, finished sixth.
