UK to water down electric car making rules as Vauxhall closes factory, putting 1,100 jobs at risk

The government will relax rules requiring car makers to produce battery-powered cars due to industry pressure. However, this change comes too late to prevent the closure of Vauxhall's van plant in Luton, risking 1,100 jobs.
