Andrew Gerber has been sentenced to life in prison for brutally beating his girlfriend, Jennyfer Lachapelle, leading to her death. Factors such as addiction, mental illness, and a history of abuse were considered. Gerber showed remorse but was sentenced to 12 years without parole.
