Councilman Robert Holden criticized Mayor Eric Adams for appointing Judge Edward Daniels, who released career criminal Gary Worthy without bail before he wounded an NYPD cop. Holden called for Daniels' resignation, citing a lack of judgment in public safety decisions. The mayor's office did not immediately respond.
