The European Space Agency confirmed a three-foot asteroid, 2024 RW1, safely burned up in Earth's atmosphere above the Pacific Ocean. Discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey, this ninth spotted asteroid was tracked by a NASA-funded observatory in Arizona.
